My husband and I were married in 2008 at Orton Plantation.  It’s a beautiful historic plantation between Wilmington, NC and Southport, NC.   Orton always made me feel “ghosty”, so it’s one of my favorite places to visit.   I have taken many pictures there, but haven’t taken the opportunity to photograph it since buying a DSLR last Fall.   I decided to go today and spent an hour walking around, enjoying the sites, and taking pictures.  Though I took about 250 pictures, here are just a few of them:

The birds and alligators came out to play, but what really attracts me to Orton are the crazy old trees.  They are so beautiful.
