Extra – book #53

Of course I flew through Catching Fire.  Not quite as quickly as The Hunger Games, but only because I didn’t have as much free time to read.    It was a great follow-up to the first book, and left me wanting more.  I can’t believe I have to wait a year for the next one.   If I survived the Harry Potter 7 wait, I can survive anything.

So, people have been recommending I try the Sookie Stackhouse series for a long time since I liked the Twilight books so much when I read them (ignoring Breaking Dawn – what a disaster!)  I’ve been resisting because in all honesty I’m not into vampires at all.   For reasons unknown even to myself, I decided to pick up the first Sookie book – Dead Until Dark – and give it a try.   It’s entertaining so far (I had no idea it was supposed to be funny!) but I’m not in love yet.
