Wow, #5 out of 5!  Another check-off for me.

This one actually took place over a week ago, but  I have gotten so lazy when it comes to updates I’m just now getting around to it.

At the south end of Wilmington rests the Civil War Historic Landmark of Fort Fisher.  I’m sure sometime during my school years I took a field trip to this site, or possibly on vacation with my family, but I don’t remember ever actually getting out and walking around to see the fort and museum.  The view was beautiful, and I took a few pictures as we walked around.

Admittedly, I am no history buff, so I actually learned something from the informational plaques surrounding the fort.
