Last minute check-off!
I was curious to see where my credit stood (the last time I checked, about 6 months ago, it was at 780) so I randomly ran an Experian credit report and score. The result?

VantageScore from Experian | ||||
This VantageScore is based on information from your Experian credit report. Information often differs among the three national credit bureau reports. As a result, your VantageScore based on those reports may vary. |
Your VantageScore is: 802 on a scale of 501-990. |
I realize it varies between the 3 reporting agencies, and it’s very possible that my scores with Equifax or Transunion are still below 800, but this is still an accomplishment for me. I’ve been working on building my credit for years, after doing quite a number on it during my early-mid 20’s. Of course, I will remain diligent and continue to do all I can to keep building this score.
What’s even more exciting is that the only negative things still reporting on my credit report are from 2003 (late credit card payments). Since these will report on my credit for 7 years, these factors should drop off completely after 2010!
Awesome! First time I’ve seen someone else with “high credit score” as a goal. Nice job!
