Have you wondered why I haven’t done a book review in a while? THIS is the culprit:
This book is so hyped right now. There are sequels already published and movies being made. So, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, why am I just not that into you?
I have been reading this book (which is not even 600 pages long, by the way) for nearly 3 months. Only around page FOUR HUNDRED did I start to get that familiar feeling of wanting to stop what I’m doing so I can sneak off somewhere and read what happens next. Even then, I wasn’t blown away. I’m about 50 pages from the end, and to be honest I think I’m just going to be relieved I got through it. Unless I am left with the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers, I’m not so sure I’ll pick up the next one.
Next up? Another first in a series, called Shiver. This has been recommended by several friends and is supposed to be a quick read. I’ll let you know.
I really liked The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but am having trouble getting myself to read the second one. I don’t know why.
:)!!!!! I LOVED Shiver!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait for the sequel!
I’m sorry that you can’t seem to get into The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I really enjoyed it. Thankfully my friend who lent it to me has the second one so I can read it too. Hopefully you’ll enjoy Shiver 🙂
The second one is SO much better than the first!!
