I’ve already replaced the A/C adapter (last fall), so I decided to replace the batter to give Mr. Dell a little more shelf-life.  Luckily for me the battery arrived 60% charged, since IT IS STILL NOT CHARGING.   So, at least I have enough juice to use my computer for a little while longer without worrying about bumping it and having to restart after some cord wiggling.  This makes me miserable.  Now I just have to make sure I shut it down all the way every time instead of leaving it in a nice little slumber the way I used to.

Hold on, Mr. Dell, just a little bit longer.
