Picture of the day = the beautiful flowers I received today from my fabulous friends Lauren, Jess, Cam and Andriena. Thanks, my loves!!!
Surgery update is TMI, so the rest is under the cut:
See my previous post for background information.
My surgery went well yesterday, and we were able to get some answers and temporarily treat some problems at the same time. First of all, my septum was in fact a true septum and not a bicornuate (heart-shaped) uterus, so my doctor was able to remove as much as possible during hysteroscopic surgery. During the laparoscopy, he discovered that I had Stage 2 Endometriosis and was able to laser off all of the visible lesions. He also found 3 fibroid tumors. Two were removed but one had to stay due to its location.
The endometriosis could be the cause of my infertility, and it will likely grow back. This means after I heal we may have a window of opportunity to try to conceive, so hopefully we will be able to try out various treatments. We would appreciate continued thoughts, prayers, and vibes.
Well, it is good to hear that you got some questions answered, and that you may have a window of opportunity! Sending you lots of love and good vibes!
I’m so glad you liked your flowers 🙂 You know I will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers!
The flowers are beautiful. Sending lots of warm fuzzy uterus thoughts! 🙂
